This is a fully remote role.
We’d like to see
- 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester in software development
- hands-on experience with Manual Testing of scalable web applications
- great attention to detail
- proactive in raising risks
- solid knowledge and understanding of the Software Development and Quality Assurance processes and life cycle
- practical experience and knowledge of databases (SQL), web programming, and communication protocols (API)
- a high standard of quality and craft with an eye for details
- good communication skills in working with teams of developers, designers and product managers
- experience working with CI/CD tools is a plus
- an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take responsibility for tasks
- ability to work independently on own initiative
- self-starter, with a strong drive to develop professionally
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Job responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze, review, and evaluate project requirements and specifications
- Test Planning: Develop test plans and test strategies based on project requirements
- Test Case Creation: Write detailed test cases to cover various scenarios and functionalities
- Test Execution: Perform manual testing of the web application to identify defects and ensure functionality meets requirements
- Defect Reporting: Document and report discovered issues clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression tests to ensure previously fixed issues have not reoccurred
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the software meets quality standards and complies with organizational processes and standards
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams of developers, designers, and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Documentation: Maintain testing documentation such as test plans, test cases, and test results
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives and adopt best practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
