Backend Developer

Nestor is serving customers across the globe, from small businesses to large enterprises in various industry verticals.

We’d like to see

• 3+ years of experience in software development, primarily on backend or fullstack
• solid knowledge of Node.js, ES6, Express.js
• in-depth knowledge of Typescript/Javascript
• hands-on experience with MySQL databases
• good knowledge and understanding of asynchronous web technologies, specifically REST and microservices
• experience working with Redis
• 2+ years of experience with AWS Services – EC2, S3, Cloud front, SES, Code deployment
• practical experience and knowledge of scaling, data protection, and security controls
• experience in integrating third-party API’s
• a high standard of quality and craft with an eye for engineering detail
• good understanding of building tools like Webpack or Babel
• experience working with WebSockets is a plus
• an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take responsibility for tasks
• self-starter, with a strong drive to develop professionally
• ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• exercise your curiosity and grow your technical, product, and soft skills
• design and integrate third-party APIs that work like magic together with the backend services
• take initiative in improving the product to address pain points and come up with robust solutions
• lead by example, offer guidance and support to your teammates
• have conversations with our customers and understand their needs
